As a communications professional, my efforts in learning and practice have always been with the well-being of my community in mind. I champion and cultivate strong storytelling skills involving content creation, both written and graphic, for print and digital audiences.
With an undergraduate degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from The University of Mississippi, much of my communications philosophy focuses on highlighting areas of concern in our community and how design and media shape responses to community concerns.
I continued my education with a Masters in Advertising: Art Direction from Southern Methodist University.
Inclusion, compassion, and sensitivity are at the core of my design aesthetic and practice. From thinking about ADA compliancies to interrogating demographic strategies that exclude POC, queer people, disabled people, and other areas of difference, I believe graphic design has tremendous potential. To educate, change minds, and start conversations about better futures.

Outside of the office, I focus on developing & performing comedy, creating and playing TTRPGs (Table-Top Roleplaying Games), and developing my personal art practice by making my own wall art.
I have the fortunate experience of being a long-running member of two ongoing improv troupes, "Fern" and "Coworkers" that perform monthly at several comedy theaters in Dallas, TX. I also am a member of an all-black comedy troupe called "FCC presents", performing a variety of comedy including stand-up, sketch, improv, and storytelling. I also perform in several seasonal shows and take advantage of other performance opportunities whenever I can.
My imagination is a muscle I value greatly. Imagination allows me to see new ways of thinking about the problems that face the different communities I am a part of. Thankfully, I get to enjoy work and recreational activities that lets me tap into that imagination magic as much as possible! Improv comedy and Dungeons & Dragons provide me platforms to imagine new worlds, new possibilities, and new people-centered ways of growing society. I appreciate that very much.
